He received the B.Sc. (1999) and M.Sc. (2001) degrees in Computer Science from the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB), Campus II, now the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG), Brazil, and the Ph.D. (2010) from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Spain. He joined the Brazilian federal public service in 2011 and is a professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering (DEE) at the Centre for Electrical Engineering and Informatics (CEEI), UFCG. He currently serves as Administrative Coordinator of the DEE, with activities in teaching, research, and academic management. His research interests include software engineering and project data analytics, focusing on agile teams, Bayesian networks, and applications of large language models; cloud computing, the Internet of Things, and security; and formal modeling and embedded systems, using Petri nets and timed automata.
